Digital Signatures are used to sign any document like physical sign but mostly it is used for Various Statutory Works like for Filing Income Tax Return,Filing Forms with ROC for company and LLP Registrations or for filing various forms required to be filed under Companies Act and LLP Act.Filing E-tender,for applying Import Export Code,for filing GST Registration.
There are two types of Digital Signatures used in India:-
Class II Digital Signatures Certificate Used for filing Income Tax ,ROC Filings,IEC Etc.
Class III Digital Signatures Certificate are mostly required for E-tendering and Trademark Filings

Documents Required For Dsc Application

Indian Nationals | Identity Proof Passport PAN Card of the Applicant Driving Licence Post Office ID Card Bank Account Passbook containing the photograph and signed by an individual with attestation by the concerned Bank official Photo ID card issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs of Centre/State Governments Any Government issued photo ID card bearing the signatures of the individual Address Proof AADHAAR Card Voter ID Card Driving Licence (DL)/Registration Certificate (RC) Water Bill (Not older than 3 Months). Electricity Bill (Not older than 3 Months) Latest Bank Statements signed by the bank (Not older than 3 Months) Service Tax/VAT Tax/Sales Tax registration certificate Property Tax/ Corporation/ Municipal Corporation Receipt |
Foreign Nationals | Identity Proof Attested copy of Applicant Passport Attested copy of VISA (If applicant is out of native country). Attested copy of Resident Permit certificate (If applicant is in India) Address Proof Attested copy of Applicant Passport Attested copy of any other Government issued Address Proof The identity and address proof of foreign nationals must be attested by the following authorities: Embassy of Native Country (If applicant is out of native country) Apostilized by Native Country, after Public Notary (if country is in Hague Convention) Consularized by Native Country, after Public Notary (if country is not in Hague Convention) |
The Digital Signature Applicant must submit the Digital Signature Application along with the relevant documents in hard copy format through courier.
Signature of the applicant should be in Blue Ink only
Signature of the applicant should be as it is in ID proof
Photo of the applicant in application form should be cross signed
Organizational Documents can also be attested by Authorized Signatory
If Organizational Documents are attested by Authorized signatory, attested copy of the organisational ID Card of the Authorized signatory is mandatory.
For proof of attesting officer either one of the below is mandatory –
Contact Details of Attesting Officer including the name, designation, office address and contact number. This should be as part of attestation. If provided separately, it should be attested either by Applicant or Attesting Officer. OR Self Attested copy of Organisational Identity card of attesting officer
All supporting documents should be attested by either of Gazetted Officer / Bank Manager / Post Master
